I lost my phone
on a powder day.
Never again.
The KOALA was born on a ski slope. Here's why I built it — and why 2,040+ skiers won't go without it.

The day I decided to build something better

I was on a chairlift in Taos when it happened. Reached into my jacket pocket to check the trail map — and my phone wasn't there. Somewhere between the top of the lift and the bottom of the run, it was gone.
I spent two hours retracing my tracks. Found it half-buried in a mogul field, screen cracked, dead from the cold. That was the moment I started sketching what would become the KOALA.
The idea was simple: your phone should be on your body, not in your pocket. Accessible in one move. Secure through anything the mountain throws at you. That's it.
Three years, a lot of prototypes, and 2,040+ skiers later — I think we got it right.
